A physical-installative interpretation of a classic marble run demonstrates art, poverty and help in a playful way with recyclable materials. Using the existing, thinking innovatively, actively designing something new, and thus obtaining maximal impact! Labor Fou combines graphic and exhibition design. Because of its installative work with recyclable material, it changes the view of the observer to the original and creates a whole new and different perception of the newly created. Oxfam is a world-wide development organization that mobilizes the power of people against poverty. Around the globe, Oxfam works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. Find out about the kick-start impact of business expertise and startup money for talented women and men in poor countries, by literally start the ball rolling.

The actions of Labor Fou include the disciplines of graphic design, exhibition design and temporary installations. It deals with interventions into the urban space which give us a new view on ways of utilization for the people to try out on sight. Based on improvisations of local and recyclable materials, it is important to us to pursue an experimental approach.

Merlin Baum is a designer and artist who observes the moment when humans trigger something and release energy to start up a machine or a mechanism. During his working process, the objects carry the focal point interfacial as a central element. Thus the handling of his objects is not only possible by humans, but also necessary.

Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working together with partners and local communities in more than 90 countries. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of poor people are heard and can influence the local and global decisions that affect them. In all we do Oxfam works with partner organizations and alongside vulnerable women and men to end the injustices that cause poverty.
